The Condensator is not neccessarily marketed as an air pollution
control device, although thousands of tests, using California Bureau of Automotive
Repaircertified Test Analyzer Systems (TAS), clearly show that it significantly reduces air
contaminants. This test equipment is used in california for the " Smog Check" program, which
is required by State law in order to help meet the Federal Air Quality Standards.
The California Air Resources Board has , by resolution , permitted the Condensator for use in California vehicles , which are the most stringently controlled vehicles in the World. This A.R.B. program is implemented in order to assist in the reduction of smog. On February 8th, 1990 the "A.R.B." adopted a resolution (Resolution 9010) which states that "overall air qulity will be improved by increased participation of addon and modified aftermarket parts manufacturers" in the A.R.B. program . | The Condensator is inserted into the PCV line, between the valve and intake manifold. Flowing through the PCV valve are blowby gases, hydrocarbons and sludge. The Condensator separates the lighter hydrocarbons from the heavier blowby materials. The lighter hydrocarbons are returned to the intake manifold where they are enhanced the fuel/air mixture and combustion. Heavy blowby hydrocarbons and sludge, that will not burn, are trapped in a removable container. |
